Hermes 90cm Silk Twill OFFRANDES D’UN JOUR scarf with original store tag EUC Hermès 90cm silk OFFRANDES D’UN JOUR scarf, designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko, and originally issued for the Winter 2008/2009 season as part of the “Year of India.” From Hermès: “A light yet meaningful ceremony: each morning during the harvest season, the women of Kerala, a state in southwest India, use flower petals to make concentric designs representing divinities, sacred symbols and animals on the ground. These temporary works of art disappear over the course of the day only to be made again the next morning with an additional color, up until the tenth day when the designs burst into fireworks of color. Hermes decided to take part in this ritual…Designed for ‘Child Rights and you’ an Indian non-governmental organization.” The scarf colorway is ( rose vif / jaune fluo / vert de gris ) in shades of bright pink, yellow, silvery gray-green, orange, burgundy, violet, red, purple, beige, black and white on a vivid coral-tinged pink ground with a violet contrast hem. This original issue scarf in excellent condition, and appears to have never been worn.
